Our Story

When launching Coffee Vibes, our team knew we wanted to bring an exceptional customer experience, superior coffee beverages, and great vibes—all in a mobile environment—to the Hampton Roads community. Here is our story.

After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Sewak (Sev) and his wife Bailey started three coffee shops at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Sev wanted to ensure a focus on craftsmanship and quality, so traveling to Italy for inspiration was a no-brainer. They immersed themselves in the rich culture and craft of specialty coffee, carefully selecting their espresso machine in Milan.

Returning to Alaska as newcomers to the coffee industry, Sev called on his sister Simi for support. In typical Simi fashion, she put her life on pause in Virginia to join her brother.

Despite years of being apart—Sev serving with the U.S. Air Force across the globe and Simi pursuing her career in Virginia—their reunion in Alaska felt like coming home. Inspired by Alaska's vibrant coffee culture and community spirit, Simi was determined to bring that vibe back to her home in Virginia.

Drawing from their diverse upbringing and shared values, from the eclectic music and cultures of inner city New York to their mutual pursuit of excellence and the tight-knit community spirit of Alaska, they created Coffee Vibes. Their venture is a testament to their journey and the warmth they aim to share with every cup.
